This is the Privacy Policy for the Defected Records LTD Store (DStore). This Privacy Policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you when you use this website.

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us including:

      When you return an item to the Defected Records LTD Store:

      • We will contact you to in order to keep you up-to-date with the progress of your return.

      When you partially complete placing an order with the Defected Records LTD Store:

      • We may send you emails regarding items left in your basket but not purchased.

      What is the legal basis for processing my personal data? 
      When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase the data subject (you) has given consent to the processing.

      There are legitimate reasons for the processing of data.

      Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with the data subject. In order to complete your order the processing of your personal data is required in order to complete the payment and arrange the delivery of the items you have ordered.

      We do not store customer credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties. We may, however, disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

      SECTION 5 – SHOPIFY 

      Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

      Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

      Payment:
      
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

      All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American 
Express and Discover.

      PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

      SECTION 6 - KLARNA

      In order to offer you Klarna’s payment methods, we might in the checkout pass your personal data in the form of contact and order details to Klarna, in order for Klarna to assess whether you qualify for their payment methods and to tailor those payment methods for you. Your personal data transferred is processed in line with Klarna’s own privacy notice
